The Medical Centre is the unit where operations of all medical services for the College take place. It is a highly comprehensive medical centre with facilities such as medical laboratory services, x-ray, medical records, pharmacy, out-patient department, consulting rooms, nurses station, treatment rooms, minor theatre, observation rooms (wards) male and female with 3-4 beds in each room, immunization and dressing rooms, etc.

The centre is presently structured into four departments comprising

(1) Medical Director’s office and Medical Record Sections

(2) Medical/ Pharmacy departments comprising medicine and pharmacy sections

(3) Nursing services department

(4) Radiology/ Laboratory department Patients are seen on out-patient basis, emergency cases and cases that need observation are kept for 24 hours, monitored, treated and discharged.

Complicated cases are referred to secondary and tertiary health institutions for further treatment. There is an existing retainership agreement with Lagos University Teaching Hospital and 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Yaba, Lagos with regards to the referral cases.

Medical and paramedical staff have been employed to work in the various departments and sections of the Centre and more will still be needed because expansion is on-going in various departments, e.g. diagnostic sections such as Laboratory and X-rays. In the past, there were only nurses and doctors but at present there are doctors, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, Radiographers, e.t.c. X-ray and Laboratory services could be extended to members of the public and corporate organisations around the College. These are sources of generating funds for the College.

The following services are expected to begin in near future. Expanded X-ray and Laboratory services, obstetrics and gynaecological services, public health department, social welfare services, dental clinic, e.t.c. It is also important to note that sick bay has been established at Epe Campus to take care of their health needs at the new campus.
